TV Taxi: PayPass, Touch Screens, News, Weather, ESPN.

So, I broke one of my new year’s resolutions this morning: no more taxi rides just because I overslept. But, the good news was what I found in the cab. I thought the test a few years ago, to put touch screens in cabs had failed. Evidently not, although there has been little news about it. The NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) has decided to give us credit/debit payment options (via Verifone.) A ‘Passenger Information Monitor,’ is touch-screen, and offers local news and weather. ABC is the provider. ESPN is also available. Cool.
