Three Words For 2009
Chris Brogran, a new media guru, today on his blog challenged people to
“think of how you want to be successful in 2009. Then, try to think in even broader terms. Extrapolate on the broader terms, and find one word to hang the idea on.”
Since I was in the middle of goal setting for 2009 when I read it, it was rather timely, so I tried it. Here’s a rough idea of where my planning is headed for this year. Very Rough. But you get the idea. I’m posting the comments I wrote on his site, here:
“Right now, my three words are:
Partner, Create, Believe.
Partner, because I know in order to reach my goals, I cannot (hard as I have tried in the past!) do it all myself. AND because this year my partner and I are beginning our life together. I want to keep the idea of partnership first and foremost in my mind.
Create: This could also be the word “more”. I want to create more – create more content, create more ideas, create more believers, leaders, followers, understanding, opportunities, joy.
Believe: Too many ideas have died because I didn’t believe in them enough, or in myself enough, or in the ability of others enough to keep them alive and help them flourish.”
It’s a good start.
