The Green Hornet: Seth Rogan, Jake Gyllenhaal, George Clooney. Pick One.

Variety reports that Seth Rogan is finalizing a deal to write, and likely star in The Green Hornet. The 25 year old, Emmy-nominated writer/actor/producer, is a surprising choice to play Britt Reid, The Green Hornet. The project has been around for a decade, and was rumored earlier to have placed Jake Gyllenhaal and George Clooney in the lead role.

The Green Hornet ran on radio for 18 years, was made into two movies, and, finally, became a one-season TV series in 1996, and starred Van Williams and Bruce Lee. Numerous comic book and children’s books have been released since 1940.
