Signs Of Success

Three months after I launched The New Civil Rights Movement, the blog had it’s best day ever: a 47% increase in hits over its previous highest day. I wish I could point to one thing I did that resulted in such a strong day, but I can’t. I do think it’s the result of a renewed interest in the gay marriage debate, sparked by the Op-Ed in Sunday’s New York Times, about which I wrote extensively today. And I started commenting on other blogs, which drove some traffic as well. Twitter also drove a great deal of traffic to the blog today. So, a combination of a lot of different factors. None self-sustaining, but a start, I hope. I do have to say I was especially proud of my analysis in An Embarrassing Reconciliation On Gay Marriage, a commentary on the Times’ piece.
