Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting: Photos & Videos.

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree

The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, this year an 84-foot, 60 year old Norway Spruce, unearthed and imported from Connecticut, was lit last night. Along with a cold snap, Barney’s, Bendel’s, Bloomingdale’s, and Bergdorf’s windows transformed into Christmas stories, Gucci tied up in a bow, traffic just tied up, and tourists flooding Fifth Avenue, the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is a special Manhattan Holiday tradition. Enjoy this slide show from The New York Times.
