MacWorld Live Coverage Options

For anyone who can’t wait for MSM updates or who has to know now, there are surprisingly no options to view Steve Jobs’ Keynote Address live via streaming media. But some good text updates. Here’s what I’m doing:

  • MacRumors Live is giving excellent text updates that refresh every few minutes. They wisely have a countdown at the top of the page that shows how many seconds to the next update. Right now, “every day is a winding road” is playing, and the audience is still being seated.

  • Tom Krazit over at C|Net’s Apple Blog is claiming live updates, but his last post was an hour before the scheduled opening (9AM Pacific.)

  • MacNN is offering live text updates, but MacRumors Live is doing a better, more complete and timely job.

I’ll update shortly. It’s now 9:18 Pacific.

  • MacRumors Live is also offering a few live photos. Right now, they say Steve announced a new partnership with Paramount, iTunes has over 250 movies to offer, he claims iPod has 62% of the market, and Zune has no data for December. MacRumors Live now says Steve has introducted iTV: wireless access from your Mac to your TV.

  • Tom Krazit over at C|Net’s Apple Blog now has some good updates.

  • MacNN has some good info now as well.

Well, it’s about 35 minutes into Steve’s presentation. I think MacRumors Live, C|Net, and MacNN are all doing a fine job. Probably wise to just rotate among the three there. Can’t wait for the video!
