Last Thursday’s “The Colbert Report” featured an interview with artist/photographer Chris Jordan, who “makes art out of excessive waste.” Above, the background of the third photo represents the quantity of one day’s worth of aluminium cans, that we use every day, stacked on top of each other. If you could stack one day’s worth of aluminium cans, that’s how many it would be. The background image shows how tall, in relation to the Manhattan skyline, the stacked cans are. It’s a lot of cans.
