Flash Gordon: New Sci-Fi Channel TV Series Begins August 10th
Flash Gordon, originally a 1930s comic strip, then film serial, radio serial, magazine, book, movie, TV series, movie, TV series… You get the picture. The Sci-Fi channel is airing the premiere episode of the new TV series on Friday, August 10th, at 9:00 PM. They have reportedly signed on for 22 episodes, a rather large number.
TV Squad says, “Flash Gordon lands somewhere between camp and dramatic science fiction, resulting in something that’s not as dark and brooding as Battlestar Galactica, but not quite as quirky as Eureka.”
28 year-old, Canadian-born Eric Johnson, best-known as Smallville’s Whitney Fordman, plays Flash.
