Sadly, the population at Twitter is migrating. Steve Rubel, Dave Winer, Scobelizer, all going elsewhere. Which is sad. Because they are a large part of why I first became so enamored with Twitter.

Leo Laporte just Tweeted:

leolaporte It’s funny to see all the Twitterati flock to http://identi.ca - we’re all so desparate for a Twitter that works. Why not just clone it? 2 minutes ago from twhirl

My response:

davidbadash @leolaporte I just checked out http://identi.ca. Everyone there’s saying they like Twitter better. This battle of the bands needs to end! less than 5 seconds ago from web in reply to leolaporte

Media Matters continues its focus on the embarrassing antics of MSNBC’s host of Hardball, Chris Matthews, via its “Matthews Monitor.” Friday it exposed the ridiculous coverage of Barack Obama’s visit to an Indiana diner, during which the candidate ordered an orange juice, declining coffee.

You can see the transcript between Matthews and Schuster on Media Matters’ website, and catch the video at the end of this post.

But here’s my take:

For what it’s worth, orange juice, well, oranges, are grown in America. Coffee, not so much. Maybe Obama was showing his national pride by wanting to consume a product made in this country. What, with the Columbian trade agreement going nowhere, perhaps he didn’t want to be accused of drinking Columbian coffee instead of American OJ. I’m just saying.

Enough said?
