Chris Pirillo’s Top 100 Mac Apps, And Other Leopard Goodness.

Chris Pirillo just posted his “Top 100 Mac Apps”. It’s a great list. I use a lot of the ones listed, but a lot are new, and I haven’t heard of some of the others. So, if you’re looking for some new toys for your new Leopard install, or if you’re looking for some new toys to help you stay happy in Panther or Tiger (10.4 or 10.3), take a look and try a few out. (Oh, and give him a Digg, too!)

As you know, a few days ago I posted “Live Blogging My OS X Leopard Installation On MacBook Pro.” It’s gotten some good attention, and I think it has helped some folks who were not sure what to expect during the install. I still think the install took a long time, and I’ve heard others agree. But it’s good to know up front what to expect, and I think the post does just that, so I’m glad it helped. And the end results are spectacular. Leopard, for almost everyone, Dave Winer , understandably, excepted, is excellent.

I’m finishing up Part Two of the series. I think I’m going to call it: “So, I’ve Just Installed Mac OS X Leopard. Now What Do I Do?” Again, I’ll take you step-by-step through what I do to customize/tweak the OS to make me more productive, and comfortable. Nothing too intense, just some good, common sense solutions and tips. It will be posted tomorrow, so I hope you’ll check back. Part Three will be an in-depth review of the third-party freeware and shareware that I use – or don’t – and why. All good stuff.

Let me know if you have any thoughts or questions about Leopard. I’ll do my best to respond quickly.

I welcome your comments, or, feel free to email me. Why not take a look around? If you like what you see, why not add me to your blogroll? Or, subscribe to my RSS feed? Or both. Thanks.
